Set high amongst the trees, in the natural rainforest of Tamborine Mountain, Pethers enjoys a unique position under the rainforest canopy.
Pethers’ is fortunate to have many Fauna call it home. Some such creatures include a variety of rainforest birds, Pademelon Wallabies, Green Tree Frogs, Owls, Skinks, Kookaburras, Echidnas and Possums.
The fascinating though particularly timid Albert’s Lyrebird, is notably the rarest and can on occasion be found down by the stream near Tree Houses 5 & 6. Pethers is proud to support the 112 natural Flora and Fauna species living here, engaging in campaigns to support the local biodiversity in becoming more resilient and assisting it to flourish in this beautiful sub-tropical environment.
Our guests delight in spotting all the native wildlife at Pethers Rainforest Retreat and we are committed to protecting local flora and fauna that call Mount Tamborine, and Pethers, home.
